We're trying out a new location for the next Social Media Breakfast SF East Bay. We're back in Oakland -- a very short walk from BART -- but since Max's isn't open for breakfast, we'll have the place to ourselves.

Our speaker on March 25 will be Cathryn Hrudicka, Chief Imagination Officer and innovation consultant at Creative Sage, which helps organizations, project teams and individuals innovate to create outstanding management and marketing strategies, communications, solutions, services and products.

Cathryn is one of several authors of a new book, "A Guide to Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing." According to the book, "The concept of capturing ideas in a hub of collaboration, together with the outsourcing of tasks to a large group of people or community is a revolution that is rapidly changing business culture. A Guide to Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing explains how to use the power of ideas and people outside your organisation to turbocharge your innovation Failure to embrace these approaches could mean getting left behind."

Cathryn will talk about crowdsourcing as it relates to open innovation, and is hoping to bring along one of the other authors to join her in the discussion.
